A return to stability?
After a tough 2023 in Software Engineering, and a period of immense change the first Quarter of 2024 has seen a return to some form of stability.
Whilst there have still been layoffs across the Tech industry on the other side of the coin plenty of companies have started hiring - and some aggressively so too.
Meaning in most cases for Software Engineers the job market has been buoyant enough to absorb any layoffs.
Key trends we have observed is the need for Engineering Leaders to be “hands-on” in their role and able to lead technically as well as lead People.
As well as companies really assessing the soft skills and Product mindset of Software Engineers.
We see these trends continuing as well as hiring actively gradually increasing for the rest of 2024.
